Blockchain in Kerala & India

Smart contracts and blockchain-based applications for suitable use cases.

Scope of work

What's included in Blockchain

Every engagement starts with a written scope, so you know exactly what you are getting, who you are working with and what it costs.

  • Use-case assessment
  • Smart contract development
  • dApp frontends
  • Testing and review
  • Deployment support
  • Documentation

An honest view of blockchain

Blockchain is a useful technology for a narrow set of problems and an expensive distraction for many others. It provides a shared, tamper-resistant record that several parties can trust without relying on a central operator. If you have a single organisation controlling its own data, a conventional database is almost always faster, cheaper and easier to maintain. We begin every blockchain conversation by testing whether you genuinely need one.

When blockchain may be appropriate

  • Several parties who do not fully trust one another need a shared record that none of them can alter alone.
  • Assets, tokens or entitlements need to be transferred and verified without an intermediary.
  • Transparent, auditable rules should run automatically, as with some escrow, royalty or membership arrangements.
  • Provenance or authenticity needs to be verifiable by outsiders, for example certificates or supply chain records.

When it is usually the wrong choice

If you only need a fast database, a content management system, a loyalty programme run by one company or general record keeping, blockchain adds cost, complexity and performance limits without clear benefit. If personal data would be written to a public chain, there are also serious privacy concerns, because data on a public blockchain cannot easily be deleted.

What we can build

Smart contracts. Programs that run on a blockchain, commonly written in Solidity for Ethereum-compatible networks. We design them carefully, because deployed contracts are difficult to change and bugs can lead to irreversible losses.

Decentralised application frontends. Web interfaces that connect to wallets and contracts, with clear explanations of fees, confirmations and risks for users.

Tokenisation and credentials. Digital certificates, membership passes or tokens where verifiable ownership adds value.

Integration. Connecting blockchain components to conventional systems such as databases, payment services and identity tools.

Choosing a network

Options include Ethereum and layer-2 networks, other public chains and private or consortium networks. We weigh transaction cost, speed, security, ecosystem maturity, regulatory considerations and your users' wallet habits. Often the best architecture keeps most data off-chain and records only hashes or key events on-chain.

Security and testing

Smart contract bugs are costly. We follow established patterns, use audited libraries where possible, write comprehensive automated tests, run static analysis tools and simulate adversarial scenarios. For contracts that hold significant value, we recommend an independent third-party audit before launch, and we do not suggest that testing alone removes all risk.

Legal and regulatory awareness

Tokens, digital assets and certain blockchain activities may be regulated, and rules differ by country and change over time. We are developers, not lawyers, so we advise you to seek legal advice on token design, fundraising, securities questions, taxation and consumer protection before launch.

User experience

Wallets, gas fees, network switching and seed phrases confuse many users. We reduce friction through clear instructions, sensible defaults, transaction previews and, where suitable, simpler onboarding methods, while being open about what users must still understand.

Cost and timeline

Projects are quoted after a written scope. A feasibility assessment and prototype can be done relatively quickly, while production contracts with audits and monitoring take longer. We will not recommend building more than the problem requires.

Why Royal Launch

You work with a consultant with more than 14 years of engineering experience who offers blockchain among a broad skill set, so advice stays practical and independent rather than driven by enthusiasm for any single technology.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Starting with the technology. Projects that begin with "we need a token" rather than a customer problem rarely find users.
  • Putting personal data on a public chain. It cannot be erased, which conflicts with privacy expectations and many data protection rules.
  • Launching unaudited contracts that hold money. Independent audits are far cheaper than recovering from an exploit.
  • Underestimating user friction. If customers must manage wallets and seed phrases for little benefit, they will leave.
  • Ignoring regulation. Rules on digital assets differ by country and change often, so obtain legal advice before launch.

Questions to ask any blockchain developer

Why does this problem need a blockchain rather than a database? Which data stays off-chain and why? Who can upgrade or pause the contract? Has the code been independently audited? A credible developer answers directly and is willing to say when blockchain is unnecessary.
